The compact crossover market has certainly become a battlefield for a number of manufacturers. These vehicles have become extremely popular in the 2000s and none more so than the Escape from Ford. An all-electric vehicle, the Nissan Leaf went into production in 2010. Of course, perhaps the most important thing with such a car is the range. With a range of affordable, high-spec cars coming out of Korea, Hyundai’s Elantra model is certainly one of the best available from that Asian country. For a vehicle with a drop top, the Buick Cascada has some impressive trunk space. It also offers a smooth ride that is relatively quiet, an important consideration in cars of this nature. ​Introduced to the market in 1994, the Audi A4 still remains a popular executive car. All-in-all, it has been respecced six times in the past 23 years with the B9 as the current model. It has a range of power options, including petrol and diesel engines from 1800 cc to 3000 cc. For those of us who like a little bit more power, the top of the range S4 produces 450 brake horsepower and a top speed of 155 mph. It can go from 0-60 mph in just 4.1 seconds.

Probably least fancied by many as a luxury large-sized car, the LaCrosse will surprise some. It has an excellent safety rating, very impressive gas mileage numbers, handles very well and offers a comfortable ride. The LaCrosse is a real dark horse that should not be underestimated.
