With all these teams come some of the most decorated athletes in the world. Names like Bill Russell, Joe Montana, Babe Ruth and Wayne Gretzky have to be mentioned when talking about the greats.

While these athletes led the team sports, what about the athletes who worked solo? You can't think of golf without names like Tiger Woods and Arnold Palmer. The sport of tennis has been led by Roger Federer and Serena Williams.

This 'Saint' holds the record for the most completions in a single season (468) as well as the highest completion percentage in a single season (71.2 percent).

Drew Brees was drafted into the NFL in 2001 by the San Diego Chargers. In 2006, he was traded to the Saints where he has spent his career since. Holding numerous NFL records, Brees won his only championship so far in 2010.

This NBA star is the second all-time leading scorer (36,928) and also holds the career high of free throws made (9,787).

Karl Malone began his NBA career in 1985 as a power forward for the Utah Jazz. He would spent most of his career with the team before spending his last professional year on the Los Angeles Lakers.

This left-fielder holds the record for the most runs scored (2,295) and most stolen bases (1,406).

Rickey Henderson joined the MLB in 1979 with the Oakland Athletics. He played with many different teams throughout his 24-year career. By 2003, he was a 10-time All-Star as well as a two-time World Series champion.

Hank Aaron began his MLB career in 1954 with the Milwaukee/Atlanta Braves. His was 1957 World Series champion and a 25-time All-Star.

Brett Favre was drafted to the NFL in 1991 by the Atlanta Falcons. He would go on to spend most of his 19-year career with the Green Bay Packers. He won his first and only championship in 1997.

John Stockton spent the entirety of his 19-year NBA career with the Utah Jazz. While holding numerous records, he was also a 10-time NBA All-Star.

Sam Snead began his professional golf career in 1931. He holds the record for the most PGA Tour wins and has won seven other major championships.

This Celtics player holds the record for the most NBA championships (11).

Bill Russell spent his 13-year basketball career playing for the Boston Celtics. The entire time he played with the team, they reached the NBA Finals, winning 11/13. In 2009, the NBA renamed The Finals' MVP trophy after Russell.

Jimmy Connors made a name in his professional career when he won the Australian Open in 1974. He would go on to win seven Grand Slam titles and has won the most singles games of any athlete with a record of 1,256-279.

Cy Young began his MLB career in 1890 with the Cleveland Spiders. HE would go on to play for four other teams. He won one World Series championship, in 1903.

Serena Williams got her professional tennis start in 1998. Not only has she set many records, she is also the highest paid female athlete within any sport.

Alex Rodriguez began his MLB career in 1994 with the Seattle Mariners. He would go on to play with the Texas Rangers and New York Yankees. He is a 14-time All-Star and won his first and only World Series in 2009.

Julio Cesar Chavez is a Mexican-born boxer who competed for 25 years from 1980-2005. With a total of 115 fights in his career, his final record was 107-6-2.
